O’Sullivan Compares Wilson to Scheffler
Ronnie O’Sullivan asserts that Kyren Wilson possesses the ideal “mentality” for enduring success, likening him to world No. 1 golfer Scottie Scheffler.
Later this evening, Wilson is set to compete against Michael Holt in the quarter-finals of the UK Snooker Championships.
O’Sullivan, a seven-time champion at the Crucible, admires Wilson’s capacity to manage pressure after his initial world title victory earlier this year.
The Rocket expressed to Eurosport: “It truly depends on the individual; for some, the burden of expectation can be overwhelming and may hinder their careers.
“Nevertheless, those who have talent and experience often rise to the occasion, achieving notable success.”
“Kyren certainly embodies that profile and is on the verge of claiming numerous more prestigious titles.”
O’Sullivan added: “He reminds me of golfer Scottie Scheffler.
“While many players can hit the ball a long way and have various skills, Wilson excels in every aspect of the game, making him an intense rival when he’s at his best.”
