A dedicated fan of MANCHESTER UNITED has reported being “removed” from the FA Cup draw at Old Trafford after airing his grievances about the club’s soaring ticket prices during a live broadcast with the BBC.
The third-round draw was conducted at the home ground of the current champions, Man Utd, on Monday evening.
Ruben Amorim’s team is set to face the record 14-time champions Arsenal in what promises to be an exciting clash at the Emirates Stadium.
In the meantime, one passionate supporter seized the opportunity during the draw to deliver a message to the club’s ownership.
Ticket prices at Old Trafford have exorbitantly reached £66 per match.
Moreover, the club has eliminated concessions for kids and seniors, leading to demonstrations prior to their 4-0 victory over Everton on Sunday.
While BBC host Kelly Somers was presenting the FA Cup draw with the trophy nearby, she was surrounded by Manchester United fans.
As she addressed the camera, one individual displayed a phone that read: “£66 thieves.”
The protestor later stated on X: “I got kicked out for this, by the way.”
SunSport has reached out to Man Utd for their response.

Man Utd’s Supporters’ Trust has also voiced their dissatisfaction with the decision to raise ticket prices.
Since assuming control of football operations at Man Utd, co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has initiated multiple cost-cutting policies.

He has laid off 250 staff members, terminated the payments on Sir Alex Ferguson’s £2 million annual ambassador fee, canceled the Christmas party, and eliminated corporate credit cards and private chauffeurs.
Additionally, he has done away with staff lunches, accommodations, extra ticket allocations, and post-match festivities.
Besides the much-anticipated match between Arsenal and Man Utd, several other notable third-round matches include Manchester City vs Salford, Tamworth vs Tottenham, and Everton vs Peterborough – the latter of which could see Ashley Young face off against his son Tyler.
All matches are scheduled for the weekend of January 11, 2025.
The 32 teams that win their third-round matches will receive £115,000, while the losing teams will get £25,000.
All matches will conclude on the same day, as replays have been removed, with extra time and penalties to resolve any draws.
