The Placepot lets you bet by selecting a horse to place in the FIRST SIX races of any meeting.

You can choose multiple horses in a race—the number of selections decides your stake. Thus, staking is calculated as 2x2x2x1x2x2, totaling 32 lines.

You can stake any amount starting from just 5p a line, amounting to £1.60. A 10p stake per line totals £3.20, and so forth. As long as at least one horse places in each race, you can anticipate a payout!

Don’t forget to claim your £40 bonus when you stake £10 as a new customer with Tote HERE*.

Cheltenham Placepot tips – Friday, December 13th

LEG 1: That’s Nice, Country Mile

THAT’S NICE is all set to leverage the 7lb allowance she gets from the boys, demonstrating great skill with her win at Warwick last month. Nico De Boinville barely had to urge her as she clinched a smart victory, and she can build on that encouraging performance.

COUNTRY MILE delivered a solid showing in a Haydock Grade 2 last month, though a mistake at the final flight cost him significantly. The drier ground should favor the Skelton runner, who still has plenty of room to improve.

LEG 2: Caldwell Potter, Jango Baie

CALDWELL POTTER began to fulfill his hefty purchase price with an impressive debut win at Carlisle 12 days ago. He jumped well and is expected to show considerable improvement from that performance. Previously a Grade 1 caliber over hurdles, he looks hard to beat.

JANGO BAIE also excelled over hurdles and was unfortunate to finish second last seen at Aintree. Nicky Henderson has shared positive comments about his schooling.

LEG 3: Valgrand, Tintintin

VALGRAND will feel much more comfortable back over this distance, having kicked off the season with a Grade 2 victory on the Old course. He won by 17 lengths there but found the emerging star Potters Charm too strong over 2m5f last time here. Despite carrying top weight, his initial mark may be generous, and he thrives on decent ground.

TINTINTIN made a strong fourth-place finish in the Greatwood Hurdle here last month. He returns from the same mark, presenting solid place prospects again.

LEG 4: Chianti Classico

CHIANTI CLASSICO has the quality to give weight after his fantastic comeback win at Ascot last month. He displayed his ability by taking the Ultima at this year’s Festival and performed well in an Aintree Grade 1. His exceptional jumping remains his prime asset, and trainer Kim Bailey has had an impressive start to the season.

LEG 5: Shan Blue, Shakem Up’Arry

SHAN BLUE showed strong form towards the end of last season and finished a respectable fourth on his return at Bangor last time. He ran well for a significant part of the race on tricky ground and will benefit from the anticipated better conditions. While somewhat inconsistent, this marks his first attempt in a veterans’ race, which might finally reveal his best from a declining mark.

SHAKEM UP’ARRY typically performs well off a break and claimed the Festival Plate during his last visit to Cheltenham. He enters today with an added 6lbs but remains a formidable competitor.

LEG 6: Mister Coffey, Delta Work

MISTER COFFEY gets one last opportunity from me to secure a win over fences. He made a solid return after a nine-month break on this cross-country course last time. Though he finished strongly in second, the winner had already pulled away. With Nico De Boinville now aware of his stamina, he can position the Nicky Henderson chaser closer to the pace, and his weight has nicely decreased.

DELTA WORK boasts an impressive track record here and poses a significant threat. While he was a little rusty on his return at Down Royal last month, he is expected to display his true class. With Rob James reducing his weight by 7lbs, he isn’t carrying top weight now.
