The evening also celebrated notable winners such as Nigeria’s Ademola Lookman and Zambia’s Barbra Banda.
Lookman, who made a mark with Atalanta and Nigeria’s Super Eagles, earned the title of CAF Men’s Player of the Year.
Banda, crowned as the Women’s Player of the Year, shone in the 2024 National Women’s Soccer League in the United States, helping Orlando Pride secure both the NWSL Shield and Championship title.

Notably, she scored a hat-trick for Zambia at the 2024 Paris Olympics, becoming the only player to notch three hat-tricks in Olympic football history.
