The semi-finals of the Riyadh Season Snooker Championship have been POSTPONED.
This delay puts Ronnie O’Sullivan‘s match against Ding Junhui at risk – just hours after confusion unfolded due to a power outage in the arena.
Matches are falling behind schedule in Saudi Arabia, with reports indicating a one-hour delay.
A statement from the WST mentioned: “This afternoon’s session will begin at 6 PM local time, 3 PM GMT.
“Mark Allen will face Mark Selby for a chance to win the 167 prize and earn a spot in tomorrow’s semi-final.”
“The second match is slated to start at 7 PM local time, 4 PM GMT.”
No reason has been given for this delay.
This could potentially affect O’Sullivan’s match with Ding, set for 9 PM local time – 11 PM UK time.
The semi-final for the seven-time world champion may even be postponed to a later date.
Kyren Wilson is scheduled to compete against Luca Brecel after Allen’s match with Selby.

Judd Trump scores 500 POINTS in a row in one match at the UK Championship – but falls short of Ronnie O’Sullivan’s record
This update comes shortly after play was paused due to the arena experiencing total darkness.
Zhang Anda was competing against Ahmed Aseeri when the lights started flickering.
This year’s snooker event in Riyadh began with a generous $1 MILLION (£780,000) reward for the first player to hit a 167.
Fans reacted humorously as Zhang attempted this challenge – organizers responded quickly to rectify the lighting problem.
One fan remarked: “This lighting issue is absurd; I empathize with Anda, as it could drastically hinder his concentration aiming for the 147/167.”
