Fans took to social media to express their frustration after trying to watch the opening match between Karel Sedlacek and Rhys Griffin.
The PDCTV broadcast started at 12:30 PM, but many viewers reported no sound throughout the transmission.
After 25 minutes of silence in the streams, the PDC provided an update on X.
The statement said, “We recognize there is a sound issue on PDCTV and are working diligently with our providers to resolve it.”
“We appreciate your patience.”
However, as the competition commenced at the legendary Ally Pally, annoyed fans who had paid for access became increasingly discontented as the problem continued.
One user conveyed their frustration on X: “Patience? Seriously… the stream has been live for 25 minutes without sound, and it took this long for a response? Time to issue refunds, this is ridiculous. I woke up at 6 AM in the States to catch this… and I want to hear it as well.”
Another commented: “Are you going to turn the sound on? 20 minutes of silence… the matches have started, and there’s still no audio… what’s the deal?”
