SERENITY ROSE (3.30 Lingfield, nap).
She returns to her preferred mile distance on the all-weather track for the first time since her victory at Wolverhampton early last year. The longer distance is a clever choice by novice trainer Jack Morland, especially after her solid second-place finish over seven furlongs here 18 days ago.
ZHANG FEI (2.43 Fakenham, nb)
Fern O’Brien has come close with her father Fergal’s son of Camelot twice this season. They secured a commendable third place at Taunton last time, and this smaller field should work in their favor. Some give in the ground suits him perfectly, making a well-deserved victory seem likely.
MC LOVEN (2.30 Lingfield, treble)
He has been out of action since finishing third in a tougher race here in September. His Lingfield record shows 214213, and the handicapper has been reasonable with only a 1lb rise. He should be a strong contender.
