
Pretoria – The City of Tshwane has announced an emergency power shutdown affecting the Rosslyn area.
“Residents in proximity to the Rosslyn 132/11kV Substation are hereby notified of an emergency power outage scheduled for today, (22 December 2024), to allow for essential maintenance of electrical components in the vicinity,” the City stated clearly.
“To ensure safety, the City found it necessary to suspend the power supply for a period of 12 hours.
“The completion of this vital work is anticipated by 00:00.”
The City of Tshwane has specified that the following locations and businesses will be affected:
- BMW
- BEVA
- August/Leaple (MA)
- Nedbank
- ASEA
- Rautenbach
“Customers are urged to treat all electrical equipment as if it is live. The City extends its apologies for this unavoidable interruption of power supply,” the statement released on Sunday, (22 December 2024) remarked.
