LENNOX LEWIS has urged Tyson Fury to go head-to-head with Anthony Joshua next, especially after Fury’s recent disappointing loss to Oleksandr Usyk.
In May, Usyk made history by becoming the first fighter to defeat Fury, clinching a notable split-decision victory in Saudi Arabia.
During a contentious rematch in Riyadh, the Ukrainian earned a 116-112 unanimous decision, with Fury managing to win only four rounds.
Following Usyk’s consecutive victories and his intention for a rematch with Daniel Dubois, the legendary Lewis has suggested that the 35-year-old AJ should challenge Fury.
He told TNT Sports: “He goes to London, the biggest fight in history, potentially Anthony Joshua.”
After the decision was announced, Fury left the ring abruptly, sparking concerns regarding his future as his promoter Frank Warren must now address these issues.
Warren commented: “I’m not sure; he is very disheartened, just like I am.
“I don’t play favorites; everyone there seemed to agree with the outcome.”
When asked whether the 36-year-old Fury would return to the ring, Warren replied: “That’s up to him.
“It’s too early; emotions are running high immediately after a match. We’ll see. It’s strange. Can you genuinely claim he only won four rounds out of eight?”

Dubois, 27, confronted Usyk, 37, heatedly after their previous encounter in 2023 ended controversially due to a low blow.
Lewis commented, “He could choose to retire if he wants. He has the freedom to do whatever he likes; he is the champion.
“I’d prefer not to announce a rematch only to have it not happen.”
