Stellenbosch – A Hawks warrant officer, accused of fatally shooting his wife, will spend Christmas in custody after the adjournment of his case.
The Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) reported that the unidentified officer made his first court appearance today, December 23, 2024, at the Stellenbosch Magistrate’s Court.
It is claimed that the Hawks officer shot and killed his wife during a domestic dispute on Saturday, December 21, 2024.

Authorities retrieved ten spent cartridges and two bullet casings from the crime scene.
