Icons of MANCHESTER UNITED from various generations gathered to honor Kath Phipps during her funeral service.
The cherished former receptionist at Old Trafford passed away last month at 85 years old.
Phipps had been part of the club since the 1960s, beginning her journey during Sir Matt Busby’s time.
David Beckham was particularly notable among the attendees at the service held at Manchester Cathedral on Monday afternoon.
The 49-year-old ex-United star made an effort to see Kath in her last days before her demise.
He arrived at the cathedral with his parents, Sandra and Ted.
In a tribute on Instagram following Phipps’ passing, Beckham reflected: “Kath’s face was the first and the last I would always see at the Old Trafford reception, ready to give me my match tickets.”
“She was the heart of Manchester United; everyone knew her and had great respect for her.”
“When I moved to Manchester at 15, Kath reassured my parents by saying, ‘I’ll look after your boy, so you don’t need to worry.’”
Ruben Amorim brought along his full first-team squad to honor her, where the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson delivered a heartfelt eulogy.
Other notable former players, including Gary Neville, Bryan Robson, Roy Keane, and Mark Hughes, were present to pay their respects on this somber day in the North West.
Manchester United expressed their condolences after Phipps’ passing last month, stating they were “heartbroken” by the news.

“She became a familiar face at the directors’ entrance on matchdays and served as the receptionist at the training ground, giving a warm welcome to each visitor at Carrington.”
“Kath was a truly unique institution; her memory will be forever cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
