Johannesburg – Aserie Ndlovu, the founder of Capital Live SA FM, along with his partner Zodwa Mdhluli, has been missing for nearly a month under mysterious circumstances.
The two were last spotted on 18 February 2025 at separate locations.
Ndlovu, who is part of the Press Club, was seen departing from Denlyn Mall in Mamelodi, wearing blue jeans, a long-sleeve shirt in blue and white, and Nike sneakers.
Mdhluli was last observed at their home in KwaMhlanga, Mpumalanga.
Capital Live SA FM operates out of Denlyn Mall.
This week, the Media Development and Diversity Agency (MDDA) reaffirmed its support for the community media sector as well as the National Press Club in the continuous search for Ndlovu and Mdhluli.
MDDA CEO Shoeshoe Qhu highlighted the necessity of community solidarity to ensure the couple’s safe return.
“We need to raise awareness and help authorities locate our colleague and his partner,” Qhu remarked.
“We urge community media outlets to circulate information pertaining to this case, as time is of the essence.”
There is speculation that the couple may have fallen victim to extortion.
Elijah Mhlanga, chairperson of the African Media and Communicators Forum, recently expressed his concerns regarding the circumstances of their disappearance, noting a reported burglary at their home that suggests possible foul play.
“We are becoming increasingly alarmed about the couple’s wellbeing,” Mhlanga stated.
He called on community members and law enforcement to contribute in any possible way to assist in locating the missing couple.
“Every day without news raises more concern,” he emphasized.
“People don’t just vanish without a trace. Someone must have seen or heard something on that day.”
Antoinette Slabbert, the acting chairperson of the National Press Club, has expressed her worries regarding the missing couple and urged law enforcement to enhance their efforts in the search.
