“I was completely shocked, but I followed all instructions. The officers showed me footage demonstrating that I was recorded at 104 km/h. This resulted in what they termed an automatic arrest,” she shared with Sunday World.

Sni Mhlongo: “It Was a Total Nightmare”

If the arrest wasn’t enough, false accusations of intoxication and disorderly behavior started spreading across social media, tarnishing Sni’s public image.

“Emotionally, it was incredibly tough. I found myself questioning what I did to warrant this,” she confessed.

Not only was Sni battling legal issues, but she was also concerned about the potential harm to her career. Some brands chose to pause collaborations while others seemingly disappeared amidst the unverified claims.

“To face court cases publicly while my character was under attack was unbearable.”

Nevertheless, Sni stayed composed and adhered to legal protocols: “We handled everything correctly,” she stressed, crediting her outstanding legal team.

Mom to the Rescue & Big Sister Uncovered the Evidence!

While online critics were having a field day, Sni was blessed to have her unwavering support team at home, especially her mother, actress Brenda Mhlongo. “My mom came that night with her lawyer and truly supported me,” Sni revealed.

Even more remarkable? Her sister retrieved the vehicle’s tracking data that disproved the police’s claims. Who knew Sni had her very own personal CSI team at home? “That support kept me grounded,” she shared.

The charges? Dropped as of December 11. The reputation? Remained intact. And the aftermath? Let’s just say the influencer community now realizes that fame can have its challenges.
