
Johannesburg – The Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources has announced the fuel price adjustments for May, leading to lower costs at the pumps.
Beginning Wednesday (7 May 2025), and considering the current local and international circumstances, the fuel prices will be adjusted as follows:
- Petrol 93 (ULP & LRP): A reduction of twenty-two cents per litre (22.00 c/l).
- Petrol 95 (ULP & LRP): A reduction of twenty-two cents per litre (22.00 c/l).
- Diesel (0.05% sulphur): A decrease of forty-two cents per litre (42.00 c/l).
- Diesel (0.005% sulphur): A decrease of forty-one cents per litre (41.00 c/l).
- Illuminating Paraffin (wholesale): A reduction of thirty-one cents per litre (31.00 c/l).
- SMNRP for IP: A decrease of forty-one cents per litre (41.00 c/l).
- Maximum LPGas Retail Price: An increase of forty-six cents per kilogram (46.00 c/kg).
The fuel price schedule for different zones will be released on Tuesday (6 May 2025).
