CRAIG BELLAMY has urged for a rematch against Canada, voicing his disappointment over Jesse Marsch’s exuberant celebrations during their recent friendly victory, which concluded before the final whistle.
Wales experienced their second defeat in 12 matches under Bellamy’s supervision, with Derek Cornelius’ free-kick bringing Canada a win as they prepare to co-host the tournament next summer in Swansea.

Bellamy lashed out at Marsch’s behavior during stoppage time while Wales was still fighting for a draw.
He remarked: “I’m genuinely disappointed because I hate losing more than I enjoy winning.
“Watching him (Marsch) celebrate at the conclusion made me think, ‘I really hope to face you at the World Cup. I hope our paths meet again.’
“However, I must also demonstrate grace. Jesse was simply congratulating his staff before the game officially ended. I need to adapt to that.”
Bellamy fielded a diverse lineup, implementing eight changes from their recent 1-0 World Cup qualifying win over Kazakhstan, and provided debuts to Ronan Kpakio, Joel Colwill, and Kai Andrews.
He added: “I need to assess a broader pool of players. We must embrace youth, as we can’t solely rely on the older squad.”
“That’s our current situation. I can’t depend too heavily on certain positions because our options are limited; therefore, we must foster young talent.”
“I’m very conscious of this necessity. I want our country to thrive for years ahead, so offering these players opportunities is essential.”

Wales’ next test is a friendly against England at Wembley on October 9, followed by an essential qualifying match against Group J frontrunners Belgium in Cardiff four days later.
